Teguise

The town of Teguise has been noble and stately throughout its rich past, first with the Bethencourt dynasty and later with the Herrera family, both periods in which Teguise experienced moments of maximum esplendor. Declared an architectural-historical-artistic site, it is one of the oldest villages that have written one of the most famous pages in the history of Lanzarote. Today, a stroll through the cobbled streets of its historic quarter is pleasant and welcoming.
