Teror

The jewel and religious centre of the island is Teror. Since 1979, the town has been a cultural monument and every year on 8 September it attracts numerous pilgrims to venerate the "Virgen del Pino". Every Sunday, the villages of San Mateo, Santa Brigida and Teror have their own small weekly market where the locals do their weekly shopping.
