Galdar

The first inhabitants of the island lived in the north of Gran Canaria. The cultural heritage of the ancient indigenous people, the Guanches, is omnipresent. The old capital "Agaldar" offers insights into times gone by. Particularly worth seeing is the Cueva Pintada Museum, an old hand-built cave with enigmatic wall paintings.
